The location was particularly good and perfect because it was just next door to the bar restaurant, dual carriageway, and a nice area. I explored the Galleries Shopping Centre not too far away from the property.

This spot is perfect for a quick getaway, the staff is friendly and deserving of 3 stars, with a convenient location near supermarkets and a church nearby.

They offered cool and neat rooms with coffee and an extractor fan or air-con plus clean towels. Its location was very central, 300 metres from St George.
Some of the staff were very rude.

Good location, 5 mins walk to town centre .Free car park.
Reception staff very poor. There is a walkway to the hotel with a sign that points to the hotel. but at the end the hotel gate is locked, so one has to walk the long way round to get to the hotel. I complained to reception staff, they said gate always locked, so I asked why not put a a note on the sign and say "do not use walkway, gate locked", they just shrugged !!

Reasonably priced modern hotel with a quiet atmosphere. Excellent setting close to Wigan attractions, restaurants, and the DW Stadium. not far from Grand Arcade Shopping Centre.

I have stayed at this Hotel many times and I think they have now had 3 different owners. The rooms are good but they still need to upgrade the public areas.

Our trip to the Wigan Oak was planned to go to the DW Stadium for a rugby game. We chose it because it is walkable to the stadium. I would recomend any travelling sport fan to stay there.

Great location close to spots with worn-out carpets, the city center, and the sports stadium 🎉.

Very helpful, friendly staff. I had a superior room which was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows, lovely and soft. Breakfast was excellent with loads of choices as was the restaurant menu for an evening meal.
Slight pedantic criticism. If crockery gets chipped or cracked please ditch it and replace. Breakfast tea served in a teapot with a cracked lid which was stained with brown from the tea spoilt an otherwise perfect impression.

Good location and friendly staff. Room was well apointed and clean
Food could have been better dinner was just ok. Breakfast was poor, served as buffet and was dried out where it had been left out so long, the scambled egg was inedible.

The lady at the reception desk was very polite and friendly whilst still being professional. The morning staff who served breakfast were also very friendly and helpful. The hotel room had everything we needed and was very clean. The breakfast was great and was so cheap compared to what food was on offer.

Stayed room only for 1 night to attend a function in Wigan. Room was fine for its purpose, the maid was very helpful, getting extra coffee for the room for when we returned late at night. Reception staff efficient. We didnt drink in the hotel bar as there was a wedding function and it was a bit like a playground with lots of children running riot, not the fault of the hotel!!
